Conserving the environment is critical to all of Zuari’s business operations. The company has developed and implemented an environmental management policy that covers a wide range of issues from the treatment and recovery of wastes, emission control, to education of personnel. In fact, the entire production process at the Zuari plant has been developed keeping environment conservation at each and every step in mind. This is in contrast to merely implementing an ‘end of pipe’ solution for disposal of wastes.

Zuari sees expenditure on improving the eco-friendliness of its plants as an investment and not a cost. It is this outlook that has enabled Zuari to become an industry leader in environmental management.
